I just watched Phantasm II on FEARnet the other day, and it made me wonder if it would ever be released on DVD. The gaping hole in my Phantasm collection has always bothered me, but I will finally be able to fill it on September 15th.

Universal is giving the film its first ever U.S. DVD release, along with re-releases of They Live, Prince of Darkness, The Thing, Shocker, People Under the Stairs and Serpent and the Rainbow.

Those are all the details I have for now but I will keep you updated when I learn more.
