According to Variety (via Nightmareonelmstreet.com) Friday Night Lights’ Connie Britton has been cast as Nancy’s mom in Samuel Bayer’s A Nightmare on Elm Street remake.
The 42-year-old MILF is known for playing Nikki Faber along side Michael J. Fox on Spin City and for her role as Tami Taylor, the wife of Coach Eric Taylor, on NBC’s Friday Night Lights.
In the original Elm Street Nancy’s mom, Marge Thompson, became an alcoholic after her and some other Elm Street parents burned Freddy Krueger alive.
A Nightmare on Elm Street 2010 is currently filming and set for a April 16th, 2010 release date.
