Official Halloween 2 Poster

While I was busy chasing nude Rihanna pictures Rob Zombie managed to slip, what I’m guessing is, the official poster (or one sheet) for Halloween 2 on his MySpace Blog. Earlier this week they also released the official synopsis, you can check out both below.

Synopsis:

It’s that time of year again, and Michael Myers has returned home to sleepy Haddonfield, Illinois to take care of some unfinished family business. Unleashing a trail of terror that only horror master Rob Zombie can, Myers will stop at nothing to bring closure to the secrets of his twisted past. But the town’s got an unlikely new hero, if they can only stay alive long enough to stop the unstoppable.

Since when is Rob Zombie a horror master? The guy made one good movie and that was The Devil’s Rejects. House of 1000 Corpses was alright, but it wasn’t anything special. And Halloween? Don’t even get me started on that piece of shit. It’s a sad comment on the Horror genre that it only takes one good movie to be considered a master. The only thing that Rob Zombie is a master of is performing fellatio on studio execs, and laughing as he counts your ill-spent money. STOP SUPPORTING BAD FILMS! Jesus Christ, people. Have some fucking standards.

I’m I the only one looking foward to Halloween 2, the trailer looks like it’s be more suspenseful and violent then the first film. Give Rob a chance. I too hated him after seeing House of 1000 corpses. But after seeing the first Halloween remake and The Devil’s Rejects, he’s truly the best director in the horror genre working today. He focuses on character development and trying shock you, unlike most directors that are there to just collect a paycheck.

Rob Zombie is only doing this for a paycheck. Before the first Halloween remake he was slamming people for doing remakes. Then along comes Hollywood, with it’s fat little wallet, and all of the sudden he’s in the remake business. Zombie’s character development is cliched. The back story he gives Michael Myers was completely unnecessary and stupid. Michael Myers was a much better character when there was no reason or explanation for why he did what he did. All Rob Zombie did was give him a back story that’s been done a thousand times. Abusive mother, heavy metal, blah, blah blah. He took the mystery out of Myers and replaced it with the same old story. Not to mention that as a “rock” musician, he’s just reinforcing the myth that there’s a link between heavy metal and murder. Zombie is a hypocrite and a hack, pure and simple.

Rob Zombie is one of many horror masters, that includes Devil’s Reject, Halloween. House of 1000 C was one of several attempts to restart the genre using 70′s/80′s techniques, but still having it’s own flair. Halloween? Brilliant piece of work. It’s a good sign for the Horror genre that it’s taking steps forward quite often over the last several years.

Rob Zombie had to work hard against the studio execs, bidding for time, money, location. He gets paid less then some of the Hollywood horror directors. SUPPORT THESE GREAT FILMS! Spaghetti Monster behold! I’m glad you folks have standards.
