The Spanish horror film [REC] is finally coming to DVD in the U.S. on July 14th. Sony Pictures Home Entertainment had shelved it so they could produce their own U.S. remake Quarantine according to Fangoria.

“[REC], which follows a TV news crew into an apartment house with a fire department on a late-night call, only for them all to be trapped inside with the residents as a mysterious plague turns them into bloodthirsty killers. The movie will be presented in both the original Spanish and English-dubbed versions, and a [REC]: Making-of featurette will be included.”
