SpongeBob SquarePants Invades Elm Street

Clancy Brown who voices Mr. Eugene H. Krabs of SpongeBob SquarePants has joined the cast of A Nightmare on Elm Street 2010 as “Allan.” Brown is relatively unknown but has had a long career appearing in many films such as, Highlander (1986), Blue Steel (w/Jamie Lee Curtis), Pet Sematary II and was the voice of “Hakon” in the Gargoyles cartoon.

No word on what Clancy’s role in the film is, but since he is one of the older cast members, it is probably safe to assume that he is probably a parent or a cop.

Tomorrow Bloody Disgusting — who broke this earth shattering story — will announce the key grip and location coordinator.

In other Nightmare 2010 news “animal wrangler” Greg Tresan has joined the crew. What animals did he have to wrangle? You will have to wait until April 16th 2010 to find out.

I love Nightmare on Elm Street and I love Clancy Brown. He is one of my favorite character actors in a bunch of my favorite moves like Pet Cemetery, Shawshank Redemption, and many others. It is kind of weird that he is the voice actor of Mr. Krabs.
