Kellan Lutz is sure making a name for himself in the horror genre; not only does he play Emmett Cullen in the The Twilight Saga, he has also starred in Prom Night, the upcoming Ghosts of Goldfield, The Forgotten Ones and now is in talks to join the new A Nightmare on Elm Street film.

Lutz is in negotiations to play a school jock in the upcoming Platinum Dunes’ remake. He will be joining Jackie Earle Haley as Freddy Krueger, Rooney Mara as Nancy Thompson, Kyle Gallner and
Thomas Dekker who have already been signed to the cast.

Nightmare begins shooting in Chicago in a few weeks, and will be in theaters April 16th, 2010.
