Evan Rachel Wood New Queen of True Blood

While I was busy posting Battlestar Galactica DVD news along with True Blood clips, Michael Ausiello of EW.com was busy getting the scoop on Evan Rachel Wood joining the show.

Sources confirm to me exclusively that True Blood creator Alan Ball has tapped Evan Rachel Wood to play the pivotal role of Sophie-Anne, the vampire Queen of Louisiana! Sophie-Anne is 500-year-old vampire from France [and a major role on the series]. Wood is booked for two episodes, both of which will air towards the end of the show’s upcoming second season. But rest assured, if the show is renewed for a third season, Wood will be back.

It is going to be very interesting to see how Alan Ball is going to write up the Queen in True Blood! I just hope he does not follow the book and keeps developing the love story between Bill and Sookie! Can’t wait for season 2!
