Robert Pattinson Seems Depressed in GQ

With all the Twilight haters out there I try to keep a positive spin on the franchise for our Twilight blog, however, it is hard to ignore Robert Pattinson’s distain for his instant fame. The teen heartthrob seems moody, and uninterested in his status as an overnight superstar, and in a recent interview with GQ he seems determined to let the fans know how boring he considers himself.

Robert told the magazine, “There’s literally not a single [true] story that could be written about me. I never do anything.” He says all the dating rumors about him are untrue and claims he doesn’t even bother to socialize anymore…

“I don’t see people,” he says. “I don’t even have people’s phone numbers. I almost don’t want to have a girlfriend in this environment.”

You may remember Robert even claimed to have taken one of his “stalkers” out to dinner and bored her so much that she never came back.

You can read the entire interview in the April edition of GQ, and let us know if you think Robert can handle the pressure of being famous, at least until the Twilight films wrap up.

“Why so serious?”

I agree that he’s just a normal guy who’s suddenly shot to fame as Hollywood’s latest sensation. He’s made it obvious that he doesn’t want that kind of attention. He’s serious about his work and wants to enjoy it and be recognized for it. He doesn’t seem to want the adoration of people who are in love with a fictional character. I feel bad for the guy. I wouldn’t want that kind of attention either. It’s false and annoying.

I completely agree with Ray ray on the first comment. Even though I am filled with joy at Rob’s success and know that he deserves it; I flinch with physical pain at the site of him looking so miserable in his latest pics. Some say it is the price you pay for fame, but even Brad Pitt gets a day off every year to be himself and to be off camera. Rob cannot go 24 hours without someone putting a camera in his face. He has worked constantly on Twilight “only” since he was handed the script, (Little Ashes was done before Twilight). I am sure he needs a vacation away from all of us on some distant island. I bet Johny Depp would gladly let him stay awhile at his own FU*K OFF ISLAND. If Summit were smart they would shoot New Moon, Eclipse and Breaking Dawn back to back and then the entire cast could get a small break before they start the next promotional tour for New Moon….OMG….they have to do it all over again 3 more times. Don’t get me wrong, I am a huge fan of the books and a huge fan of Rob! The books captivated me for a week straight, I just pray that the cast stays healthy, (mentally and physically).

Robert is absolutely gorgeous. I read here (http://www.projectweightloss.com/index.php) about how much he works out and, wow, no wonder he doesn’t gain muscles drinking those things.

I agree with him. He´s the most boring guy ever in Hollywood. But I heard he´s as greedy when money is concerned as every other jerk in LA. He´s a Tom Cruise wannabe acting as though he was mother Teresa. After all he could leave anytime he wants but of course, with all those dunb women throwing their money into his pocket, his whorest side is always up above, right? This bloke is a FRAUD!

I feel bad for Robert actually. I believe that he is lonely and boring and dull but he should change that especially when he is famous, he gets to get up and do something about it.\

    I STILL WUV U ROBERT!!
