The Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror Films has announced the nominations for the 35th Annual Saturn Awards and they’re kind of shitty. First of all the Best Horror Film nominees are The Happening, Hellboy II, The Mummy, Splinter and the Strangers! If that isn’t a pile of doo doo I don’t know what is. At least they didn’t add Twilight as a horror film, they tossed that in the Best Fantasy Film category instead. The Best Action, Adventure Thriller Film category includes Changeling a movie I would not describe as “action, adventure or thriller.”

Anyway…The Dark Knight received the most nominations with 11, and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button and Iron Man were second and third with 9 and 8 nods. You can check out all the nominations here, and let us know your thoughts below.
