All signs are pointing to Kevin Williamson returning to write three new Scream films in what they are calling a “reboot of the franchise.” IMDB.com already has Wes Craven attached to direct and Williamson listed as the writer, however, remember just because it appears on IMDB doesn’t mean it is official.

If you head on over to Dread Central they have a screen shot from the “William Morris Agency” also announcing Williamson is attached to write Scream 4, 5 & 6.

We also know via BD that Wes Craven will only return if 1) there is a good script and 2) if the Wesinteins pay him well. We will keep you updated.

UPDATE: This “synopsis” is also listed on IMDB: Scream 4 will mark the return of the infamous Ghostface Killer after a ten year absence from the big screen, plot details have been kept under wraps since the project was announced, but it’s bound to involve a group of adults or teenagers who are being stalked and murdered by the Ghostface killer.
