Patrick McGoohan, known to horror fans as Dr. Paul Ruth from Scanners, has died–he was 80 years old.
“McGoohan died peacefully Tuesday in St. John’s Health Center in Santa Monica after a short illness, said Cleve Landsberg, McGoohan’s son-in-law. The family did not provide further details.”
McGoohan also appeared in the 1998 Sci-Fi Thriller Hysteria, 1996′s The Phantom but is most famous for his role in the British TV series The Prisoner and was an Emmy Award-winning actor.
