Author Max Brooks stopped by Fangoria to talk about the upcoming movie adaptation of his book World War Z, and he seems pretty happy about it.
“Now that we have a director, we have a captain of the ship,” Brooks said during last weekend’s Fangoria Radio show. “Marc will determine start date, cast, locations, etc. For me personally, I’m content to go off to Iceland and let them make their movie.”
On the subject of J. Michael Straczynski writing the script Brooks commented, “I can’t give it away, but Straczynski found a way to tie it all together. The last draft I read was amazing.”
Sounds like he likes it to me, and that is a very positive sign. If you have not read World War Z you better hurry, I’ve included all the links below along with the pre-order link for Brooks new book, The Zombie Survival Guide: Recorded Attacks.
World War Z follows “Max Brooks as he scours the world collecting the stories and experiences of those who have survived the world wide Zombie epidemic that almost eradicated humanity.”
