While Twilight fans were busy killing each other, Summit Entertainment acquired the movie rights to New Moon, Eclipse and Breaking Dawn, all of the Twilight book follow-ups.

The Hollywood Reporter reports that Melissa Rosenberg will adapt New Moon and Eclipse, but no word on a writer for Breaking Dawn (why not just have her do all three?). Ticket pre-sales for the first film are already through the roof, and the soundtrack already hit number one on the Billboard charts.

Twilight opens Friday, Nov. 21.
