World War Z Gets Its Director

Turning Max Brooks’ novel, World War Z into a film, is going to be a very hard job, it is also one of the most anticipated horror films in recent memory. The rights were already scooped up by Brad Pitt’s Plan B production company, and yes there are already rumors that Pitt will star in the film. The script is currently being written by J. Michael Straczynski, and today Variety reported that Marc Foster, who just finished the new Bond film Quantum of Solace, signed on to direct.

Forster says: “The genre always fascinated me, and when they pitched it to me, it reminded me of the paranoid conspiracy films of the ’70s like ‘All the President’s Men.”

World War Z follows “Max Brooks as he scours the world collecting the stories and experiences of those who have survived the world wide Zombie epidemic that almost eradicated humanity.”
