Sarah Michelle Gellar Forced Back to TV

Sarah Michelle Gellar should have never turned her busted nose up to Buffy the Vampire Slayer franchise, because it looks like she may be headed back to television, cable television that is. Variety reports that screenwriter Charles Randolph wrote a script for a new show on HBO with Gellar in mind. “The Wonderful Maladys revolves around the dysfunctional lives of three adult siblings who lost their parents at a young age.”

Randolph described Gellar’s character as having “a kind of zealous immaturity — like a drug addict with a to-do list.”

Gellar must have got tired on waiting for Scooby Doo 3 to be made, and has been passing the time by appearing in indy films such as Southland Tales and bad J-Horror remakes like The Return and The Grudge.
