Here is a weird but true story; Joseph Petcka admits to kicking a cat named Norman to death, but claims it was in self-defense. Petcka is on trial for animal cruelty and faces a possible maximum of two years in prison. Fox News reports that Petcka tried to gain his girlfriend’s cat’s affection, but the cat just didn’t like him.

Lisa Altobelli told a Manhattan jury.“When Joe would come into the room, [the cat] would start hissing. He was visibly terrified,” she said of Norman. “He would run to the other side of the apartment.”

Norman was also so obsessed with the cat that he wrote about it in his diary. After a six-week affair between the couple, Petcka ransacked Altobellili’s liquor cabinet, then threatened to microwave poor Norman because he claimed it bit him on the hand. Lisa came home one day to find the pussy in its “special spot” dead.
