This is the weird relationship horror movies will always have with the studios; remember when rumors of a possible fifth Child’s Play were floating around and the studio claimed the franchise was dead to them? Then when they did release Seed of Chucky they kept moving around the release date and it basically flopped? Now they are talking about remaking it, and had no problem releasing a special edition Child’s Play for the 20th anniversary. They love our money, but seem to hate to admit, that they have anything to do with making horror films sometimes. Well at least MGM/Fox went balls out to promote the new DVD, releasing an army of Chuckys on Times Square in New York. A pretty cool promotion if you ask me, it almost made me miss NY…Almost!
