I enjoy the Buffy the Vampire Slayer comic book, but I much rather have had, Buffy the Animated Series. It blows my mind that with what seems like a billion TV networks these days, Joss Whedon and co-creator Jeph Loeb couldn’t find it a home. There was even a stupid The Mummy: The Animated Series. How long did that last?

There is an online petition to get it released (Like those ever work. You have to do something dramatic like Veronica Mars fans did when they flew a plane over the network). You should probably sign up and sign it — it couldn’t hurt.

Imagine how much more they could have done with an animated Buffy, not to mention that all the cast members did the voices so it’s extra cool. It brings a tear to my eye just hearing Xander, Willow and Giles speak new words. Watch the 3:35 minute promo below and see what all us Buffy fans are missing! Fuck it, release it straight to DVD, and I will buy 10 copies! I promise!
