The Hollywood Reporter reports that Tom Cruise may star in Sam Raimi’s next comic book adaptation, Sleeper.

“Cruise is loosely attached to star in the adaptation of the DC Comics/Wildstorm comic that Raimi would produce with his Star Road Entertainment partner Josh Donen.”

The Sleeper comic ran from 2003-05 and was about, Holden Carver (a.k.a. The Conductor) a covert operative who fuses with an alien artifact that allows him not to feel pain, but also allows him to store the pain and pass it along to others through skin contact. It was written by Ed Brubaker with art by Sean Phillips and consisted of two 12-issue limited series.
