While HYB was being banned from all future Fangoria events other websites were getting some great news. At the 2008 Fangoria Weekend of Horrors author Clive Barker announced that another one of his shorts from The Books of Blood — Dread will be adapted into a feature film.
While there are a ton of great stories in the Books of Blood this will make only the fourth film adaptation from it, the last being 2008′s Midnight Meat Train. Anthony DiBlasi will be adapting Dread for Seraphim Films.
Dread follows “Quaid, a philosopher so obsessed with the concept of fear that he decides to perform a series of experiments on unwilling subjects to better understand how it affects us.”
