Damn Canadians! I sometimes forget (like the rest of the Internet and The U.S.) that other countries exist, and sometimes they do things differently. It turns out as we previously reported, Clive Barker’s Midnight Meat Train will be going straight to DVD but in Canada not America.
Shocktilyoudrop.com cleared up the mess by finding out: “Lionsgate is contractually obligated to release ‘Midnight Meat Train’, or as it’s now being called ‘Midnight Train’, theatrically. That was one of the incentives prompting Lakeshore (the film’s production company) to enter into a partnership with Lionsgate on the film. It is still unknown when the studio will release the film.”
I should add that “insiders” told STYD this info, so who the hell knows! As soon as we find out about an official U.S. theatrical release date we will let you know.
