Blasphemus Creation - Shadows of Evil - Music Review

Horror Yearbook would like to welcome back our music reviewer Shane who has been MIA for quite some time!

BLASPHEMOUS CREATION
Shadows of Evil
Self-released CD

Go back and read my previous reviews of these lunatics here, and you will realize they are not interested in anything but producing EVILMETAL that will make you want to drop acid grab an automatic rifle and hit the nearest mini-mall.

The latest from BLASPHEMOUS CREATION is four hymns of thrashing hatchet-gash masticating volleys of thrash of the real old school variety. Think of the masters of German rifferama from the olden dayz. There you go. Black Thrash Insanity. About 20 minutes of neverending riffs, skin assualt, and vocals from the depths of the underworld.

Over the course of the the three offerings these fuckers have unleashed the focus and songwriting skills have become even more deadly. The production is killer and balanced. Cranks nicely. Listen to the last 2 minutes of They Come at Night for a perfect example. A killer solo, a note-oriented riff over a mid-tempo beat followed by a crashing ending says it all. The five minute closer Shadows of Evil is the best song they’ve written so far and signals what will come.

This band has only just begun. When guitarist and vokillist Isaac screams “look into my eyes as I take away your life/screams pierce through the night/like a chainsaw ripping through bones/blood sprays onto my face as I chop you in half/I am the bringer of death/i..m a cold blooded psychopath” you can’t help but smile. I did anyway. What a release. Exorcise the demons. Let em out. It will kill you if you don’t.
