Bloody-Disgusting has learned that Derek Mears from The Hills Have Eyes 2, is about to finalize the deal to make him the NEW Jason Voorhees in Platinum Rip-Offs remake of the classic slasher film Friday the 13th. The remake is set for February 13, 2009, directed by Marcus Nispel, and written by Damian Shannon and Mark Swift.
