Obsessed With Film reports that not only is My Bloody Valentine being remade but it will be remade in 3-D. While I am all for cheap 3-D gimmicks I really cannot figure out why they decided to go this route with Valentine and either can OWF:

“Will this even make it to the theatre anyway… if not the 3D gimmick is rather pointless.”

While I don’t agree that no one cares about the slasher genre anymore, I do agree that a 3-D remake of this slasher classic is unnecessary, but I am getting tired of beating the “useless remake” drum.

The movie is being directed by Patrick Lussier (White Noise 2, Dracula 2000) and written by Todd Farmer (Jason X) with a potential January release.
