I am not going to spend the rest of the year chasing Robert Englund and Nightmare on Elm Street remake rumors (Read Remake News Here), but I remember way back when they just finished Freddy vs. Jason, Englund stated he was not really interested in doing a bunch of versus movies. The fans lit up message boards complaining about how you could not make an Elm Street movie without him. Which may be true but my point is what else does Englund have to do? Does anyone ever think he would turn down a role, especially a role he could potentially get a lot of money for?

Moviehole just reported that Englund “will be approached to reprise the role that he made famous.” With that said it is a safe bet that Englund will be back as Freddy…You can all relax now.
