Looks like little sis has to bail out CBS. The network will be borrowing Showtime’s (its sister cable channel) TV show Dexter starting next month, to help fill in holes in their schedule do to the writers strike.
Dexter follows a police forensics investigator who moonlights as a serial killer, and will begin airing on CBS February 17 for 12 consecutive Sunday broadcasts. CBS plans to run the entire first season, edited for regular TV of course. No word on if they plan to show season 2 even if the writer strike ends, because that would suck if you have never seen it and they cut it off half way after you have been sucked in.
Also actor Erik King (Sergeant James Doakes), did spill the beans on Fangoria Radio that there are plans for a Season 3, but no word on when they will begin shooting or when it will air.
Meanwhile NBC will recycle episodes of Monk and Psych from its sibling cable outlet, the USA Network, beginning in March, when they should really be recycling USA Up All Night with Gilford Gottfried.
