BEELZEBUB News & Casting Call!

BEELZEBUB is a new horror film in casting now. It appears to be a weird religious film that claims to be inspired by a true story. You know, because people get possessed in real life all the time.

I always cringe know when I hear the term “Inspired by a true story” in relation to a horror film, especially one with religious undertones. But this features nudity and a bunch of priests, so it beats the hell out of me what they are trying to do here.

BEELZEBUB’s headliners are Vincent De Paul (an uncredited role John Water’s HAIRSPRAY!) and Sally Kirkland (FATAL GAMES, TWO EVIL EYES).

Synopsis:

(Inspired By A True Story)

A pregnant woman argues with her husband to end his association with a satanic sect. Their confrontation results in a murder-suicide.

The spirits take over the bodies of the new residents teenage daughter and nephew. Possessed by demons, the children’s behavior becomes increasingly out of control. The parents assume their children are going through a typical rebellious period of their adolescence. The problem is certainly subhuman.

The children are losing their battle with the devil, they turn to the Church for help perform an exorcism, which has horrific consequences and a startling conclusion.
