Horror Yearbook gets slammed all the time because we are all over the map. Are we a news site, classic horror movie review site, a pseudo porn site, or just a bunch of drunken idiots? I know it sometimes hurts us, but for some reason I really don’t care. It has more to do with an unfortunate name choice, and a decision to change the reason and focus of the website when originally launched.

So instead of launching a whole new site for the Women in Prison genre, I just added a section here. The idea is to review, discuss and catalog as many WIP films as possible. I mean who else would love these types of films but die hard genre fans; horror movies and any other exploitation always go well together. That includes the Rape/Revenge genre, Sci-Fi, some Action films, Thrillers and so on. We like to explore the other films that the horror genre sometimes expands in to and that some horror fans will enjoy. Thus widening the scope of what we watch and unearthing the forgotten films that no one else has taken the time to explore.

Oh who am I kidding. I just realized a lot of perverts Google “Women in Prison,” so I decided to capitalize on it. Plus I was bored. So you can also file this under the “It is my Website and I can do what I want” category.

Here is a list I compiled of as many Women in Prison films that I could find. Included are any exploitive films that include women in prison, mental wards, reform schools, that have plenty of violence, gratuitous nudity, horrific situations, rape, or torture.
