After watching the footage of TWO: THIRTEEN myself, I think this could be the next SAW. And by SAW, I mean the original film, not the trashy sequels.

Synopsis:

A police profiler (Mark Thompson) has just returned from psychiatric leave only to find that he is caught up in a serial killer’s rampage. Fighting to keep buried the trauma of his childhood, he must confront the all too-familiar flesh masks that the killer leaves on the faces of his victims. He must face his own demons along with the killer to save his small eroding existence.

Charles Adelman directed the film and I find his past credits amusing. While this film looks like it might kick some ass, Adelman was the man behind some SWIMSUIT ILLUSTRATED movies. I’m not even sure what that is exactly, but I can use my imagination.

The cast includes a variety of people like Mike Thompson (JASON GOES TO HELL), Mark Pellegrino (TV’s Dexter), Teri Polo (DOMESTIC DISTURBANCE), Kevin Pollock (Afro centric JUWANNA MANN), and Dwight Yoakam (a musician that apparently plays a woman named Sandy here).

Visual effects are by Steele VFX, the people behind SAW 1-4, BRIDE OF THE REANIMATOR, TANK GIRL, HOUSE OF 1000 CORPSES, and THE HILLSIDE STRANGLER.
