For anyone who still cares Dread Central says that the Saw IV (Read Review) official DVD release date be…January 22nd, 2008. There will most likely be a rated and unrated DVD, with a bunch of useless extras and all that kind of fun crap.

Johnny Butane also points out that there will probably be a “director’s cut” later down the road, sometime closer to the release of Saw V. So you will have to decide if you want to wait or buy the earlier version because you are too impatient.

I’ll 1-Up him and say you should wait until five or six come out, then wait for the box set or even wait ten years for the tenth anniversary edition.

DC also says this cover art is from “DVD Active which is from an advertisement (duh)”. They also expect to see some high-res art soon, we however do not, since we seem to have been blacklisted from all PR lists for some reason, but I’ll steal it from them when they get it…I promise!
