NBC’s “Fear Itself” Loses Creator Mick Garris due to Writer’s Strike

NBC’s new horror anthology series “Fear Itself” has lost its show runner Mick Garris. Director Garris has previously worked his magic on the successful “Masters of Horror” series for Showtime.

Garris is not allowed to perform his duties based on the WGA Guild guidelines, so his responsibilities are being taken care of by the producers at Industry Entertainment and Lionsgate reports STYD. This does not exclude Garris from participating as a director and he is still set to direct one of the 13 episodes.

NBC has ordered the thirteen episodes of “Fear Itself” to air in Summer 2008.
