Horror-Movies.ca claims that Jennifer Connelly will be joining Keanu Reeves in the The Day The Earth Stood Still remake. IMDB has Scott Derrickson listed as the director, the man who brought us films like Hellraiser: Inferno, and the upcoming The Birds remake.

The original 1951 The Day The Earth Stood Still is about an alien and his robot who visit Earth to deliver a message to all the nations, or something like that. The alien is called Klaatu and the robot is called Gort, ask your nearest Sci-Fi nerd at work for more details.
