GRINDHOUSE PRESENTS: PLANET TERROR (2-disc special edition): Weinstein/Genius

I really enjoyed Robert Rodriguez’s splattery contribution to the “Grindhouse” experiment. I’m looking forward to seeing the “extended, unrated” version and checking out the bonus features. A lot of fans are irate that “Death Proof” and “Planet Terror” were seperated – but I thought Tarantino’s “Death Proof” sucked and I could really care less.

The complete and total failure of “Grindhouse” at the box office hasn’t stopped several different dvd companies from “adopting” the name and releasing their own Grindhouse double features, usually with public domain horror flicks from the Seventies. This is the best one I’ve seen so far. Both of these flicks are genre classics, and this is a fantastic double feature. I especially love “Don’t Look In The Basement.” This double feature release also includes both of the films original theatrical trailers. For under $20 you can’t go wrong.
