Silent Night, Deadly Night DVD From Anchor Bay

Anchor Bay Entertainment is re-releasing Silent Night, Deadly Night on DVD, “with an all-new holiday-themed cover art that truly spreads good cheer…with a few screams!” Their words not mine. The DVD will be available on December 11th, so you will have plenty of time to grab a few for Christmas presents.

The bonus features only include the theatrical trailer, TV Spot, and an interview with director Charles E. Seller Jr.. At least the older DVD release had the angry letters people wrote when the movie was released, including one from dumb ass Mickey Rooney, who later appeared in part 5. Guess the movie didn’t sound too bad when he was getting a paycheck for it.

If for some strange reason you have never heard of Silent Night, it is about a guy named Billy who dresses up like Santa Claus and goes on a killing spree, many years after seeing his Mom raped and killed by a man in a similar Santa outfit when he was a little kid. There is also an appearance from Linnea Quigley.
