The Japanese always seem to entertain me with their over the top antics, special effects, and plot lines. So I was intrigued when I stumbled upon MACHINE GIRL aka KATAUDE MASHIN GARU on Twitch Film.

MACHINE GIRL “is about a teenager named Ami who sets out for revenge on a gang of bullies who tortured her little brother to death. She winds up losing an arm along the way, and replaces it with a high-powered gun (see pre-production still). But she doesn’t stop at one limb; Ami continues to lose body parts and replaces them with more weapons.”

The obvious comparison would be to Rose McGowan’s machine gun leg in GRINDHOUSE’S PLANET TERROR segment. But I also see a bit of MEATBALL MACHINE in this as well. At any rate, I expect a decent amount of destruction at the hands of a young woman and this gets me excited.
