Well we all knew it was coming! With the constant success of remakes, like Rob Zombie’s Halloween, the sharks are circling to see what they can rip apart next, and it looks like the studios are rushing to beat the Hollywood strike as two writers were just locked to rape poor old Jason Voorhees. Jason has had a lot of stuff happen to him over the years and survived, but will he be able to survive this?

The only good news is that the writers picked, Damian Shannon and Mark Swift, are the ones who wrote Freddy vs. Jason. It could be much worse, trust me.

Platinum Dunes has been trying to get this off the ground for quite some time, already rejecting one script from Mark Wheaton (The Messengers) and attaching director Jonathan Liebesman (The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning) to the project a long time ago. Shocktillyoudrop.com, who broke the news, has no idea if Liebesman is still attached. We will keep you posed.
