Warner Brother’s direct-to-video Horror label, Raw Feed, has announced their 3 new titles: OTIS, SUPERMARKET, and REST STOP 2. Not too much info is available yet, but here is what we have so far:
OTIS is being called a “dark comedy” (huh?) starring Ileana Douglas about a cheerleader that is kidnapped by a pervert, but she manages to escape. When she returns home, she tells her parents she plans to get revenge without police, but then his even pervier brother comes to town to start trouble.
SUPERMARKET is about…I have no idea.
And REST STOP 2 is the sequel about the chick whose boyfriend was kidnapped at a rest stop and she is forced to fight off a maniac killer. I guess the ending should be no surprise as Nicole returns to the sequel.
Is it just me or did Raw Feed huckle buck horror fans? If you noticed, all 3 of their last releases were referred to as Horror. But these 3 new films are listed as Thrillers. I recall Raw Feed being promoted in Fangoria as a Horror label. Now if you go to their site, they claim they make Horror-Thriller-Fantasy hybrids. Either they want tame films, but are making money by calling them Horror OR they made horror films, but are ashamed of that title and changed it to the less crude nomenclature Thriller. Either way, it seems dishonest and insulting.
