We reported previously that West had confirmed to Horror Yearbook that he was directing DOGHOUSE based on the script by Dan Schaffer. West had just released some pre-production art to TIFF blog.
DOGHOUSE is about a group of men going through a midlife crisis. They take a trip to a small town fully of women. The problem is that these women have gone mad and feast on the flesh of men.
The look of these women is pretty crazy. Based on the synopsis you would think this was a “Lord of the Flies”-type scenario, but I guessed the women have evolved, or devolved in this case. When I asked West earlier if he was taking a feminist stance, he would not comment.
