The DVD is being released by Anchor Bay (now Starz Entertainment) and is set for a October 24th release date at a suggested retail price of $24.97.
Hellraiser is one of the best genre films in the last 20 years, and was Barker’s first stab at directing. It tells the story of demons called cenobites, who can be summoned from another dimension by opening a mysterious puzzle box called the Lament Configuration. It was followed by seven sequels, four of which went straight to DVD.
