Sharon Stone gave us, one of 2006 top movies with “Basic Instinct 2: Risk Addiction” and now Sylvester Stallone is not only giving us one sequel but two, digging up Rocky and Rambo at the same time. Perhaps while he was doing so he bumped into some other Hollywood execs at the graveyard digging up “Jurassic Park”, who’s grave they visit about every four years or so (1993, 1997, and 2001), and that’s not all who he might of bumped into. Spielberg, Lucas, Harrison Ford and Bruce Willis have all been doing some grave robbing of their own. Plans for “Indiana Jones 4″, “Rocky Balboa” (would be the sixth film), Die Hard, “Jurassic Park IV” and “Terminator 4″ are all in the works. The sad thing is the only person smart enough to get away from these franchises was Arnold Schwarzenegger, he became Governor of my great state (That reminds me I have to vote November 4th to re-elect him).

I can’t wait! Think about it, “Jurassic Park III” the ‘III’ was designed to look like a claw mark. For part IV, they could make it look like a footprint and that’s just enough reason to make it if you ask me. I want to see how Stallone can keep coming up with lame excuses for Rocky to climb back into the ring and for Rambo if, “The first time was for him, the second for his country and third for a friend”. What is the fourth time for? What’s Indiana Jones going to be looking for this time? Is there really something bigger then the Holy Grail?

Sayles script was rumored to “feature a team of dino-human crossbreeds trained to be a military force” by Entertainment Weekly (issue #903, October 20, 2006).

Now please all join me while we bow our heads and pray that this is true and it will be used….

Cast: Jurassic Park IV also has a lot of rumors surrounding the cast. So many it made my head hurt looking them up. One states that the fourth movie will concentrate on Nick Van Owen, Vince Vaughn’s Lost World character and Vince Vaughn rumors have also surfaced or I’m starting one now. Keira Knightley is reportedly the first person to be officially approached for a new character role and Sam Neill has also reportedly signed on to reprise his role as Dr. Alan Grant.

Rocky Balboa:

We don’t have to wait very long or guess at possible rumors of what’s going on with Rocky. The release date right now is December 22nd, 2006 and stars: Sylvester Stallone, Burt Young, Milo Ventimiglia, Antonio Tarver, Geraldine Hughes, directed by Sylvester Stallone. The story? Rocky boxes, dumb that’s all you need to know.

Rambo IV:

Stallone is directing this one also which began shooting in January of 2006 in Thailand. I did report on this in August here is that article:

Rambo IV (final title to be determined) is finally expected to commence Oct 1st in Thailand. It seems Rambo is out of jail and living in Bangkok, when a group of volunteers disappear Rambo and a group of young soldiers head off to save them. Yep, the studio made Stallone add some young soldiers to appeal to the young crowd. So its 60-year-old Rambo and a bunch of whippersnappers fighting in Bangkok, what no terrorist? How the hell did they miss that boat?

But the best news about the film (and again I pray that this doesn’t change) is that the full title is: Rambo IV: In the Serpent’s Eye. How fucking great is that?

Release Date: 2008

Terminator IV:

Not much info other then nobody from the other films has signed on yet and maybe a 2008 release date. Looks like Skynet might be battling it out with a whole bunch of new actors in this one.
