The DEATH RACE 2000 remake is shaping up to be the cheesiest car race film to date, which isn’t a bad thing in this case.
The casting is getting crazier by the minute: Jason “Hot Stuff” Statham will be playing Frankenstein, Tyrese “Baby Punching” Gibson will be Machine Gun, and Joan Allen will play the villain. Seriously. I am just waiting for the news that Elizabeth Berkeley and Lindsay Lohan have cameos as strippers…
[Editor's Note: Please tell me they are smart enough to cast Lindsay, oh please!]
Paul W.S. Anderson told IGN Movies, “We start shooting in four weeks time in Montreal. And Joan Allen is the big villain baddie of the movie, which I’m very excited about. She’s gonna kick Statham’s ass!”
