An unnecessary TROLL remake is in the works according to Bloody Disgusting. The TROLL series was created by Charles Band and is so silly that it warmed the hearts of many horror fans. TROLL 2 is a known for its bad acting and dialogue.

The original TROLL was about an evil troll Torok that used a magical ring to turn apartment residents into plant pods and other things for god knows what reason. He is later defeated by a little kid named Harry Potter. The cast included Michael Moriarty, the late Sonny Bono, and Julia Louis-Dreyfus.

Sounds like movie magic right? Well, unfortunately the remake’s plot is different and will be “about a young boy enters a parallel world of wizards and magic where he befriends a good witch. Soon the boy learns that he must save the world from an evil Troll/Wizard that has the ability to hide his essence within the bodies of others.”

No other details were given except that the budget is “substantial.”
