I am already bored with J.J. Abrams mystery movie, but I am willing to bet the rest of the world is not, if the ratings of Lost are any indication America loves a good wild goose chase. My advice is to stop trying to figure out what the fuck the movie is about, and wait for 1-18-08-release date, or whatever that date is, who the hell knows at this point. I am also willing to bet a lot of you are not listening to me, so here are some bullet points of what we have learned so far.
1. Titles: Cloverfield, 1-18-08, The Parasite and now Slusho.
2. IGN learned of a film shooting in L.A. under the title Slusho. Slusho was a drink mentioned in the mystery trailer by one of the characters.
3. There was also someone wearing a Slusho T-shirt in the trailer.
4. If you go to the official Slusho website it looks like a Japanese website but is in all English. The story of the drink goes and I am stealing this right from www.horror-movies.ca because I am already sick of typing this:
“Apparently the founder of the company died while searching for the best flavor in the world. Her son later finds the flavor while dreaming after he traveled to the bottom of the Ocean. Hmmm.. Lovecraft anyone?”
5. There are also many rumors that it is indeed some kind of Lovecraftian monster fucking shit up in the film.
I am willing to go on record saying; that it will indeed be a movie, and as soon as the credits roll you will feel stupid for investing this much time into it, but hey have a blast! Who am I to talk. My entire life can be summed up in one word - POINTLESS!
