If you don’t know who Richard Speck is, basically he was just this hick that killed a bunch of nurses in the 60’s. I’ll admit I was disappointed that this film wasn’t like some “naughty nurse” slasher flick but, it’s a true story so I can only blame Richard Speck himself.
Corin Nemec (Parker Lewis) was great as Speck, even with scar make-up on he’s a very pretty man; crappy tattoos, wearing bloody wife-beaters and drinking Jim Beam, if you’re a girl I’m sure he’s liable to make you soil your panties! Debbie Rochon was also in this Lionsgate movie? Yep, she was great as always too! Should I say she played a hooker? I don’t know if that’s important or not. I don’t think so, but I’m not a writer. I’ll add Tony Todd plays Tony Todd as a cop in this. He’s one of the few actors who can pull off always playing himself.
A lot of the dialog was a bit too melodramatic, but I choose to believe that people in the 60s just talked lame like that. So, the real problem I had with this, was how the night he killed all those nurses was recanted sloppily throughout the rest of the film via flashbacks. They were off placed and.. well, a straight timeline just would’ve looked better and less distracting. Especially considering the general scene transition was pretty rough.
So yea, I guess I’m saying don’t bother with this movie unless you are fans of the three mentions stars.
