The Toxic Avenger and Other Tromatic Tales Graphic Novel

Well, if we can’t see Troma on the big screen, we can at least see it on the big page according to Comic Book Resources. This July marks the union of Troma Entertainment and Devil’s Due Publishing with their release of a graphic novel as gory and boobilicious as any of their films. As a matter of fact, the “Lloyd Kaufman Presents the Toxic Avenger and Other Tromatic Tales” anthology will feature updated takes on their old films with some additions to the character’s storylines. The 160 page graphic novel will either be sequels, prequels, or remakes of Troma films.

“Tromatic Tales” starts with an introduction by the King of Tromaville, Lloyd Kaufman. Some of the tales covered are “Tromeo and Juliet,” “Rabid Grannies,” “Children at Play,” and “The Toxic Avenger.” Notably missing though was one of my personal favorites, “Mother’s Day.” I guess suffocation by a pair of plastic boobs does not translate well on paper.
