We got updates on some plot points to SAW IV, so look the other way if you haven’t seen SAW III yet. Production has wrapped on SAW IV (Read Our Review Here) and Bloody Disgusting reported that their “source” has told them Shawnee Smith will be in the new film to carry out more carnage as crazy ass Amanda. But, she will only appear in footage used from the previous three films to form a flashback sequence. This makes sense considering she died in the last one, but frankly all the reused footage in SAW III has already made me sick of their flashbacks.
Tobin Bell, whose Jigsaw character was also killed off, will not only appear in the flashbacks, but will also make a physical appearance. Huh? This best not go the “spiritual” route and turn him into a ghost.

Oh well, all logic was tossed out the window in the last installment anyway. But I find this news of Bell interesting considering he was just quoted in Videoscope magazine saying that not only has he not shot anything for SAW IV, but that he hasn’t even seen a script for it yet. Maybe he was just trying to keep things a secret.
