THE BURNING is one old slasher classic that many horror fans have been asking for on DVD. Well, the day has arrived and we all got our wish. Retro Slashers announced that MGM Home Entertainment will release the uncut version of THE BURNING on September 11th just in time for the Halloween horror craze. The movie will be presented in remastered high definition widescreen with ALL the SFX provided by the great Tom Savini left intact. Included with the film is Commentary by director Tony Maylam, an Interview with Savini, and a Behind the Scenes look at the gory gags.

The 1981 film follows a camp caretaker that is severely burned during a prank gone wrong and he returns to the camp to exact his revenge with a pair of hedge clippers after being released from a mental institution.
