Actor Malcolm McDowell has confirmed with Rotten Tomatoes that he is already signed on for three more films in the HALLOWEEN franchise. Word is that if Rob Zombie’s reimaging does well, then they will proceed with the other three. But this must mean the studio execs have scoped out the Zombie footage and have been pleased. It is safe to assume that the upcoming film will make a lot of money and the other three are destined to be made.

And it should be mentioned that McDowell has never seen a single HALLOWEEN film and his take on the character of Dr. Loomis should be wholly original and separate from that of Donald Pleasence’s take. “I could imagine [Pleasence] playing Loomis of course with that sinister thing that he has, but it’s a new look, it’s a reinvention of it and he is completely different, my Loomis, I presume. So I guess there will be some people that will be sort of disappointed if they think I’m just going to copy him because I’m not.”
