Well, I guess a horror movie made by Nickelodeon Films wouldn’t be that exciting, except…it was based on a book by SHOWGIRLS seductress Gina Gershon! DreamWorks Films has already acquired the film rights to the book “Camp Creepy Time” and will co-produce the venture along with Nickelodeon Films. Writer Richard LaGravenese (BRIDGES OF MADISON COUNTY, seriously) is set to adapt the book for the screen.

“Camp Creepy Time” is about a boy that goes to camp, only to uncover a secret smuggling ring that involves counselors turning children into monsters to sell to an intergalactic zoo.

Gina and her brother Dann have finished the book, which is available for purchase this month. Gina worked with Dann by phone and email, which reduced any tension that might have been caused in person. But this also reduced his exposure to, uh, his sister’s hotness. Did I mention BOUND was one of my favorites movies?

Anyway, they are working on a sequel to the book already and CAMP CREEPY TIME the movie is set for release in 2009.
