“Even God likes to get a Valentine,” Mangled Angels co-writer Adam Cranner.
Mangled Angels is a site dedicated to bringing readers into the mind of a serial killer. Some sites give gory details as to how real murders are committed, but for those with an insatiable curiosity for the morbid and grotesque, there is MangledAngels.com. Said to be a competitor of the Suicide Girls, the models are unable to work for both sites. But Mangled Angels takes the photography sessions one step further.
Mangled Angels is a site created by a pseudo-serial killer and let’s the readers into his daily activities such as stalking, kidnapping, watching, torturing, and murdering women he dubs “Angels”. While the gender is never revealed, most will identify the killer as male given the nature of the crimes.
Once the site comes up, you are treated to an agreement and must state that you are over 18 years old and willing to view the adult content, which includes nudity, violence, and gore. You can then chose to go to the Memoir section, which is updated daily, and read his current exploits with pictures included to help tell the stories. Or you could simply jump to the Angels section, which is a morbid kaleidoscope of women. The pictures alone tell their individual stories of being followed on the street, locked in a room, and then slowly “released” from their mortal bodies.
One sample journal entry reads, “The cold kept the flies at bay. They have already found the Angel and they are swarming around her face; their tiny legs clinging to the gristle of the exposed meat of her cheek as they lay their eggs… It is only a matter of time before the maggots appear. For the moment I sit mesmerized listening to the memory of her screams echoing off the stones… Maybe God created us in a fallible image and it is the Devil that created physical beauty.”
The killer’s backstory is that as a teenager, he was infatuated with his school tutor and after being rejected, he killed her accidentally. Ever since then, he’s been trying to find forgiveness using every world religion. One day, he comes across the Saint Francis De Sales quote, “Since God often sends us inspirations by means of His angels, we should frequently return our aspirations to him by means of the same messengers.” He now understands that to talk to God, he must “create” Angels and have them carry his messages. So, he stalks, captures and kills these women and writes his messages to God upon their naked bodies.
Brett Hunt and Robert Haines, the producers of Mangled Angels, are not new to this line of work. The guys have previously written reviews under “The Popcorn Review” moniker, created comic strips, and even published their own book. Co-writer Adam Cranner also has some experience having played a victim of Jason Voorhees in Friday the 13th Part 9. Shelly Alexander was brought onboard as lighting director and secondary photographer, Jerry Johnson to handle video duties, and Darren Hafner as the special effects makeup artist.
As a member of the Mangled Angels site, you will get access to the Photo Galleries, Daily Blogs, Exclusive Videos, Newsletter, and direct contact with the serial killer via email or instant messenger. The site will soon feature merchandise (discounted for members) in their store such as t-shirts, posters, and even deadly props used during the shoots. And if that isn’t enough to satisfy your insatiable sadistic thirst, members get Mangled Angels ringtones, desktop backgrounds, and a “Photograph of the Day” sent directly to their cell phone.
Package#3 seems the most economical choice as you pay the annual $60 upfront, which translates to only $5/month and includes full access, Mangled Angels stickers, and autographed Angel photos. Check out their Package Deals to find out which one is right for you.
